Welcome to the OpenSea digest. Let’s look back through the biggest NFT and web3 news of the week.
Snowfro Collaborates with Oracle Red Bull Racing on The Velocity Series
The Velocity Series, a collaboration between Oracle Red Bull Racing (ORBR), Bybit crypto exchange, and Art On Internet (AOI), is advancing into its third of four total stages with a drop by Art Blocks founder and Chromie Squiggle creator Erick Calderon, aka “Snowfro.”
The collection, /// by Snowfro, distills motion into a minimalist form and supports the larger meaning behind the Velocity Series, which aims to offer motorsport enthusiasts an introduction to digital art and connect Red Bull Racing fans to their favorite team through unique designs.
According to nftnow, Calderon found inspiration in his love for speed and driving. He used italicized fonts and the forward slash to convey motion's essence. The project also combines visual simplicity with a physical element through embroidery.
Calderon, who collaborated on the 3D-printed Heart+Craft collection in August, is known for merging tactile experiences with digital art.
RTFKT and Nike Surprise Collectors With Limited-Edition ‘WHAT THE RTFKT?’ Premium Sneaker
Nike and RTFKT surprised loyal sneakerheads this week with an exclusive "What The" edition of the Air Force 1 Low for dedicated RTFKT collectors. Only 40 individuals who redeemed all 10 colorways of the NFT Air Force 1 Low collection were gifted this unique pair, featuring mismatched details from all 10 original AF1s released in April.
The collaboration reflects the continued excitement found at the intersection of digital and physical art, not to mention metaverse style.
RTFKT, known originally for its digital sneaker creations, was acquired by Nike in 2021. By combining NFTs with limited-edition sneakers, the two brands are navigating a potential path forward in the world of NFTs, and it looks like there's continued demand among niche collectors for the phygital sneakers.

This collaborative project features an innovative printing method with smaller ink droplets to ensure sharper images. A premium paper stock has been carefully selected to match the artwork's color, compositio, and scale perfectly.
The limited-time offer will be available for purchase over the span of 48 hours, starting on October 26. CryptoPunks holders will have an exclusive opportunity to transform their digital assets into unique multi-layered prints with a silkscreen varnish seal and an accompanying certificate of authenticity.
Prices for the prints are set at $639 for unframed and $1,073 for framed versions (at the time of writing). Pre-registration is available for the release scheduled for October 26 at 10 am ET.
Night Run Launches on the Epic Game Store Oct 24
Night Run, a free-to-play game with in-game cryptocurrency purchases, launched in the Epic Games Store on October 24. The game offers an aesthetic cyberpunk driving experience with a focus on climbing leaderboards. It features procedurally generated routes through a futuristic nighttime city with an ongoing soundtrack of underground house and techno tracks.
Notably, Epic Games seems to be upping its efforts to lure more developers to the Epic Games Store with two new revenue sharing programs: The "First Run" initiative, initially introduced in August, grants developers a 100% revenue share for six months as an Epic Store exclusive, with the split reverting to the standard 88%/12% afterward. (In comparison, the industry standard split is typically 70%/30%, with 30% going to the platform.)
The more recent "Now On Epic" deal encourages developers to bring older games to the platform, offering a similar revenue share structure. These moves are part of Epic's strategy to challenge competitors like the PC gaming storefront Steam.
Parallel Releases Planetfall Trading Card Expansion Set

The rollout will also mark the first time that unopened packs will be tradeable. Packs come in three tiers: Player, Collector, and Collector Crate. The expansion brings fresh faction abilities, “Keys” offering in-game advantages, Paragon skins and customizable game boards.
