Rising tides lift all boats.

We recently pledged $5 million to help cover legal fees for NFT artists and developers who receive a Wells notice from the SEC.

Today, we’re pleased to announce we’ve taken a step further by joining the Creator Legal Defense Fund. Spearheaded by Stand with Crypto, this initiative brings industry leaders together to provide crucial legal consultation and support for artists and creators.

Alongside OpenSea, a16z crypto has also pledged $1 million to aid in this effort. These funds will allow SWC to offer legal expertise from Cooley LLP, Fenwick & West LLP, Goodwin Procter LLP, and Latham & Watkins LLP, to help creators structure their NFT projects, while also advising those who may be facing potential regulatory scrutiny.

To mark this milestone, we’ve partnered with the talented Jhekub on a commemorative NFT, signifying the strength of our industry. Mint today to show your support for creators.

Like others in the industry, we see many promising use cases for NFTs -- but possible legal repercussions put many artists and creators in jeopardy. The Creator Legal Defense Fund is the next step in our commitment to standing up for a better web3. To learn more visit here.
