Welcome to the OpenSea digest. Let’s look back through the biggest NFT and web3 news of the week.

Beeple brings ‘Diffuse Control’ to LACMA this fall

Beeple, the digital artist whose NFT Everydays: The First 5000 Days sold for $69.3 million at Christie’s in 2021, will debut “Diffuse Control” at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Oct. 26.

The 12-screen installation uses artificial intelligence trained on LACMA’s public domain artworks to generate and regenerate new imagery based on online visitor prompts. Such an evolving display makes audience participation part of the artwork itself.

On view through Jan. 4, 2026, the project builds on Beeple’s steady evolution from headline-making NFT sales toward immersive, large-scale museum installations.

Rug Radio begins deprecating Genesis NFTs and $RUG token

Rug Radio, the decentralized media startup that lets creators and audiences co-own its platform, announced that it will phase out its Genesis NFTs and the $RUG token as part of its move to a new platform called Myriad.

The company said on X it has recorded (“snapshotted”) all existing NFT holdings and token balances, including claimed, unclaimed, and pending rewards, and plans to convert them into equivalent allocations within Myriad once the migration is complete.

Myriad is a new media platform being developed under Dastan, a holding company that also owns web3 news outlet Decrypt and Rug Radio. Dastan describes itself as a next-generation media and technology company building a decentralized ecosystem where audiences can help shape and govern the media they engage with.

The change means Rug Radio will stop managing its own NFT and token system and instead become part of Dastan’s larger network, which brings together storytelling and independent journalism under the Myriad brand.

Goblintown unveils GobStrategy

Truth Labs, the studio known for creating the satirical NFT collection Goblintown, has introduced GobStrategy, a new on-chain initiative focused on deflationary mechanics. Through GobStrategy, the team is using its 1% Goblintown team allocation to buy and burn tokens listed at 1.2x floor price, along with the corresponding $GOB tokens tied to each piece.

Samsung adds Coinbase access for Galaxy users

Samsung has partnered with Coinbase to integrate the crypto exchange’s Coinbase One service into its Wallet app for Galaxy device owners in the United States.

The collaboration gives users access to basic Coinbase functions directly within Samsung Wallet and includes promotional benefits such as a $25 credit for new Coinbase One sign-ups.

The integration does not change custody or security settings on devices but reportedly allows eligible users to more easily access Coinbase’s management tools from their phones.

Sorare moves its fantasy sports platform to Solana

Sorare announced it is shifting its core infrastructure from Ethereum’s StarkEx to the Solana blockchain starting this October.

According to the X announcement, the migration will convert all Sorare digital sports cards into Solana-based NFTs, preserving attributes like scarcity, serial numbers, season, and metadata.

Users’ ETH balances currently in StarkEx will be moved to Base, an Ethereum layer-two (L2) network, as part of the transition.

Gameplay, collections, and ownership will remain the same, but the move will allow users to swap cards using Solana-compatible wallets such as Phantom and Backpack and make payments in both ETH and SOL.

XCOPY’s ‘The Last Selfie’ just sold for $2.6 million
