Cool Cats Teams Up with Ledger to Release Cool Cats Ledger Nano S Plus

On May 9th, Cool Cats tweeted out a message to their followers that they had collabed with hardware crypto wallet company, Ledger, to create an exclusive Cool Cats NFT branded wallet called the Nano S Plus Cool Cats Edition

Ledger makes multiple styles of hardware wallets; this collaboration offers users a Ledger Nano S Plus branded with Cool Cats art. The Ledger Nano S Plus allows users to have up to 100 apps installed simultaneously, send and sign their NFT transactions with Ledger Live, and keep private keys offline.

The wallet retails for $99.00 and is available to holders of the Ledger Quest Proof of Knowledge NFT.

In other Cool Cats news, back in December 2022, Cool Cats made history as the first NFT collection to get the opportunity to create a balloon for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade has huge viewership on network television, which could bring Cool Cats to many new eyeballs who may even learn what NFTs are through it.

The most recent development is that a design for the float has been finalized. In addition, physical Cool Cats toys are reported to be coming to Macy’s stores this fall. It’s exciting to see what this does for bringing NFTs to a wider web2 audience!

RTFKT Forging Closed as of May 10th, Next Phase Begins

RTFKT’s Nike Air Force 1 Forging event officially ended on May 10th. After the Forge closed, the brand tweeted out information about the next phase of the project, saying, “All Cryptokicks iRL sneakers will begin shipping this August.”

According to the brand, between May 15th and May 29th, all owners of hubbed Cryptokicks iRL sneakers will be able to enter a US shipping address on rtfkt.com to complete the Forging process. During this time, no one can buy, sell, transfer, or swap Cryptokicks iRL hubbed NFTs because the smart contract will be locked on May 15th at 11 am PST to ensure no one buys a pair of claimed sneakers. One hour later, the unhubbing process will begin. RTFKT will update the metadata on all unhubbed NFTs from “hubbed” to “forged” after May 29th. Holders must “unhub” their sneakers during this period, or their sneakers can’t be shipped. Those who already Forged and did not hub sneakers don’t need to do anything.

In other RTKFT news, Lebron James was spotted leaving the Lakers Warriors game in his pair of 1/1 Clone X sneakers. Does this mean phygital NFTs are officially going mainstream?

R3NLT Announces #RACINGSHOE5 Drop

And speaking of sneakers, R3NLT’s RACING SHOE5 drop is coming. RACING SHOE5 is a “collection of sneakers created for the 50th anniversary of R5 and inspired by R5 Turbo.” GenR5 holders will have access on May 15th, early access begins on May 16th, and the public mint is scheduled for May 17th.

The collection is limited to 960 pairs, and each of the 6 models is produced in 160 copies. This is a nod to the horsepower of the R5 Turbo engine.

According to the R3NLT website, purchasing the phygital NFT grants the holder ownership of the digital collectible NFT, the digital passport NFT for the physical pair of shoes, and the corresponding physical pair of shoes in the chosen color and size.

Delivery of the physical RACING SHOE5 is currently expected for September 2023.

MyLand Earth Metaverse Launches 3D Templates

MyLand.Earth, a metaverse platform that gives users a digital version of present-day Earth augmented with NFTs that give users ownership over various aspects of the virtual world, launched new 3D templates this week. These templates are meant to make it easier for users to re-create IRL Earth in the MyLand metaverse. The templates come in the form of art galleries, showrooms, and offices, to name a few, which will allow users to establish a web3 version of their businesses.

MyLand’s goal is to make it easy for users to interact seamlessly with the immersive experience of their metaverse, and to be able to create their own environments efficiently and without much expertise.
