We’re a month into 2024, and you may be well on your way to honoring your New Year's resolutions to live a more well-rounded lifestyle. YogaPetz

After selling out its Ethereum-based NFT collection in less than 45 minutes back in August 2023, YogaPetz says they are “dedicated to building a web3-powered ecosystem for wellness, mindfulness, and community.” Holders of YogaPetz NFTs can look after their health and wellness by doing breath exercises, meditating, doing yoga, and getting restful sleep to collect $WELL tokens, which they can redeem for benefits such as resort stays and spa services from YogaPetz partners, such as the Sweet Atlantic Hotel and Spa in Portugal or the Malibest Resort in Malaysia.

Inspired by a battle with cancer, YogaPetz co-founder Kin-Fung Man wanted to create a full-stack ecosystem to help people prioritize their wellness and get rewarded for it. The team reportedly plans to develop a mobile app and web platform so holders can check in on the go and collect tokens as rewards for their commitment to their well-being.

Genopets

Launched on the Solana blockchain in April 2022, this collection of mythological animal avatars is the launchpad for a move-to-earn game. Holders are encouraged to stay active to evolve their Genopet avatars with in-game experience and by engaging with it via bonding interactions.

Genopets players can “terraform” habitats in the game by minting or breeding them and can sell or lease them to other players, which would let them generate in-game utility tokens or mint additional NFTs that can augment their gameplay. Genopets can also challenge each other to combat in cognition-based minigames to reap additional rewards.

Go!Bots HealthHero

Taking off from the Polygon blockchain, the Go!Bot collection was dropped by Go! Labs in June 2022 to kickstart the Go! Project, a platform dedicated to health and well-being, backed by Animoca and Polygon. Go! users can sync their wallet and fitness trackers to join the “Bronze Guild” and begin earning health-oriented rewards based on their activity.

Dubbed “Wellness NFTs,” the Go!Bot tokens develop their traits according to their holders’ activity levels and offer additional resources and more. Benefits touted by the Go! Project’s gamification outline include access to telehealth and mental health services, reimbursements for healthy food purchases, health coaching, life insurance, and more.

JOMO Effect

Launched in May 2023 to commemorate Mental Health Awareness Month and to embrace the “joy of missing out,” the JOMO Effect was launched on the Polygon blockchain by actor and television personality Shira Lazar. The digital art for the NFTs was created by more than 40 creators and minted as an open edition lasting a mere 24 hours, with a 3-hour early access period for participants in the “Joy List,” the collection’s alternative to a traditional allowlist.

With the stated goal of “amplifying mental health for creators, collectors, and communities alike,” the collection says they donated all profits from the mint to mental health nonprofits, including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Collectors also received a variety of perks, including access to a Deepak Chopra course titled, “Soul of Leadership” and access to meditations produced by Lazar’s wellness platform Peace Inside Live.

STEPN

Stepping onto the Ethereum blockchain in July 2022, STEPN is a lifestyle app that rewards its users for walking, jogging, and running, with the goal of promoting fitness and well-being for millions. To participate and earn tokens for steps, users need to collect a STEPN Sneaker NFT, which features different attributes and can be upgraded and customized by burning tokens.

STEPN has an app on iOS and Android, through which its users have reportedly run hundreds of millions of miles. Within the app, users can mint Sneaker NFTs and collect an on-chain utility token for the game. There is also a governance token that enables its holders to vote on matters such as how much profit STEPN will donate to carbon-neutrality causes.

In October 2023, STEPN teamed up with renowned DJ, producer, and web3 luminary Steve Aoki and the A0K1Verse ecosystem to drop a limited collection of 300 Sneaker NFTs on Solana featuring original artwork from Aoki.
