The artist suffers from a debilitating anxiety disorder and has battled with mental illness. However, the artist sketched this work at the Marina Del Rey, CA public library when he was on vacation in Venice Beach, and completed the work in egg tempera when he got back home.
Eric enjoys the music of The Blues a great deal, and even saw B.B. King live at Stateline, NV before the musician's passing in 2015, where he sketched live images of Mr. King during the concert.
