The SUV was previously auctioned off in May of 2017, for $337,144, but the sale didn’t close, so RR Auction put it back on the block for its online Pop Culture auction in August of 2017. The truck was purchased by Shakur less than a month before he was shot dead in 1996. This is the first legally owned and copyrighted NFT of Tupac Shakur, who is the most controversial and best selling rapper of all time, with over 75 million records sold. If Andreas Gursky's 1996 digitally manipulated photo (Rhein I) sold for $1,925,000, then an original 1 of 1 NFT of Tupac Shakur is surely worth $1,500,000.
