This week, Art Blocks founder Snowfro and Jordan Lyall, founder of the Arbitrum-based NFT platform Prohibition, unveiled their mesmerizing “Heart+Craft” collection, which merges physical craftsmanship with digital provenance.

“Heart+Craft” is a generative art drop created by Snowfro and Lyall showcasing intricate heart shapes formed algorithmically. The price per NFT is 0.01 ETH, and the NFTs are minted on the Arbitrum blockchain.

Artist Sam Spratt just sold his innovative, collaborative NFT, “The Monument Game” for a whopping 420.69ETH, which, as of today, equates to just under $700,000 USD. According to Manifold, it was their largest auction result of 2023.

The artwork was created through the sale of 256 “Player” tickets that allowed holders to compete for three Skulls of Luci. They did this through co-creating stories within “The Monument Game” artwork over four days.

The sale of the “Player” NFTs that began on Nifty Gateway on August 21st and ended on August 24th sold out in seconds.

Game developer Zynga just announced Sugartown, a new game built on the Ethereum blockchain. According to sources, the game will be released soon and will be playable via web browsers.

The game’s narrative revolves around three farm animals who stumble upon a wormhole leading to the immersive digital realm of Sugartown. Along with the animals travel a few idiosyncratic creatures called Oras (ERC-721 tokens), whose colorful personalities turn Sugartown into a fun, gamified world.

Doodles just unveiled the second phase of its Inkubator grant-funding initiative which will provide one-time grants for community-led initiatives that benefit Doodles holders, with a focus on commercial experiments as well as custom proposals. Doodles also introduced two new characters, Hap and Mello. Hap, a loveable optimist and easily distracted daydreamer, is accompanied by fluffy sidekick, Mello. Plush toys, vinyls, and puzzles featuring the characters are now available on Doodles’ website.

Manifold and artist Slimesunday have introduced a new burn mechanism for Base's Onchain Summer collection that gives collectors an innovative way to engage with their digital artworks, letting them burn 10 of any NFT they own in order to redeem an item from Slimesunday’s collection, “The Great Purge.”

The artist encouraged collectors to use the new burn mechanism to purge negative memories or associations with formerly owned artwork and “move forward with a cleaner, more authentic connection.”

Love meets innovation as Heart You and Transient Labs join forces to release a collection of 122 1-of-1 NFT poems. The collaboration, aptly named “Forever, Heart You,” merges the timeless beauty of poetry with the world of non-fungible tokens. Each poem in the collection is a unique masterpiece, etched onto the blockchain for eternity.
