Ryan Koopmans and Alice Wexell present ‘The Wild Within’ in Dubai

Dutch-Canadian digital artist Ryan Koopmans and Swedish digital artist Alice Wexell are showing The Wild Within at Leila Heller Gallery, the Dubai contemporary gallery, from Nov. 11, 2025, to Jan. 8, 2026.

The exhibition presents photographs of historic buildings that the artists later add digital flowers and plant life to, using computer tools after the spaces are photographed and scanned. Locations include the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Abu Dhabi landmark mosque, along with buildings in Azerbaijan, Turkey and Lebanon, shown as still images and video installations.

Vogue Arabia, the Middle East fashion magazine, highlighted the show in its December issue as a seasonal cultural pick. Recently, OpenSea also published an interview that walks through how the duo think about their work in the context of digital art and public ownership records on web3.

Moonbirds announces $birb token planned for early 2026

Moonbirds, the Ethereum-based NFT project, said it plans to launch a token called $birb in early Q1 2026, according to a post from the project’s official account on X.

The announcement did not include details on supply, use cases or distribution, which leaves timing as the only confirmed element so far.

Sam Spratt builds new home for ‘Luci’

Sam Spratt, the New York-based digital artist, said he is building a new online hub to house the full past, present and future of his Luci project, according to a post on X dated Dec. 15.

The hub will reportedly organize Spratt’s one-of-one artworks, poems, Masks, Players, Skulls and related projects into a single chronological timeline, alongside process notes, sketches, community discussions and archives from The Monument Game and Masquerade.

Spratt described the project as a way to make the structure behind the work visible and durable so as to preserve authorship, context and community contributions in one place over time.

He said the build is already underway and that he and collaborator Rachel Spratt are assembling a team to help develop the next chapter of the project.

Blockchain.com partners with Spacecoin to support SPACE token launch

Blockchain.com, a crypto services company, said it has partnered with Spacecoin, a new decentralized satellite-internet project, to support the launch of the SPACE token in early 2026, according to a press release

In the release, the companies said SPACE will be integrated across Blockchain.com’s retail and institutional products, including its wallet and over-the-counter (OTC) desk support.

The announcement describes the partnership as an expansion of access and distribution, with specific details about the token’s function to be defined closer to launch.

Ticketing platform KYD Labs launches TIX for live events financing

KYD Labs, the Solana-based ticketing company, has launched TIX, a new financing layer designed to help artists and venues cover upfront costs for live events.

The TIX layer works by connecting directly to KYD Labs’ ticketing system and using blockchain records to track ticket sales and repayments. That allows venues to access capital before shows take place, which means tickets are logged digitally and funding and settlement can happen automatically rather than through private loan agreements.

“Ticketing companies are banks,” KYD Labs said in an X post announcing the launch of the TIX system, pointing to how ticketing platforms today control too much cash flow and the timing of payouts.

KYD Labs has reportedly processed more than $8 million in ticket sales to date and currently supports shows for hundreds of touring artists.

Farcaster shifts focus from social network to crypto wallet

Farcaster, the blockchain-based social project founded by former Coinbase employees, is stepping back from running a Twitter-like network and putting its attention on building a crypto wallet, co-founder Dan Romero reportedly said in posts on the platform on Dec. 7.

Romero said the team spent more than four years trying to grow a social-first product but found stronger traction with its wallet, which lets users hold and use crypto directly on the blockchain without relying on a bank.

The company is now expected to add social tools inside the wallet instead of supporting a separate social app, following recent moves like acquiring Clanker, the AI-powered token launch tool built on Base.
