Beeple opens NODE Foundation Palo Alto show over the weekend

Digital artist Mike Winkelmann, better known as Beeple, opened a new exhibition this past weekend at the NODE Foundation in Palo Alto, a nonprofit focused on how digital art is experienced.

The show includes Beeple’s work alongside pieces from multiple other digital artists, whom the artist acknowledged while thanking organizers and attendees in a post on X.

The exhibition is described as a mid-career survey built around his “Everydays” project, where he has made and posted one digital artwork every day since 2007, totaling more than 6,800 works.

It also includes selections from that archive alongside large-scale interactive works that Beeple has dubbed “kinetic sculptures.” These include pieces like “Human One,” “Diffuse Control,” and “Tree of Knowledge,” which change based on updates or visitor input inside the gallery space.

Good Vibes Club releases ‘The Playground’ AI builder for Vibetown ecosystem

Good Vibes Club, a digital animation and NFT-focused studio behind the Vibetown story world, has released “The Playground,” an internal AI system now made public for creators.

The studio explained in an X post that they had used the same system to produce shots in its Vibetown visual work and are now sharing it as a toolset for creators building games and other animations with the collection’s IP.

The tool includes templates, prompts and design components that connect to Vibetown, the fictional universe the studio created for its characters and animations. The release lets fans and holders generate content using the same system the studio uses internally, with shared visual branding assets, such as fonts and colors, from the Vibetown system.

DoorDash tests stablecoin payouts with Tempo to speed up merchant and driver payments

DoorDash said it is working with payments infrastructure company Tempo to test stablecoin-based payout systems for merchants and delivery workers across more than 40 countries.

Stablecoins are digital tokens designed to keep a steady value and move on blockchain networks, which are shared digital ledgers that record and verify transactions.

According to the announcement, the goal behind the partnership is to reduce payout delays that can take days in traditional banking systems by enabling near-instant settlement, even across borders.

DoorDash co-founder Andy Fang said in the announcement that the effort is focused on improving how quickly workers and merchants receive earnings, and hinted on X that agentic payments may also bring “some interesting possibilities.”

Pudgy Penguins partners with PlayMonster for retail toy expansion

Pudgy Penguins is partnering with toy company PlayMonster to develop new physical games and products aimed at mass retail, according to a recent X post by community lead Shiv Shankaran.

The company said the goal is to move its penguin characters from digital collectibles into household games and in-person play. One early product, “Icebreakers,” is a 150-card two-player conversation game built around drawing prompts and answering questions out loud. Shankaran’s post said the early product, which sold out, attracted buyers outside the crypto space who purchased them as traditional toys.

The team mentioned physical games and retail distribution, including prior exposure through stores such as Walmart, have helped introduce new audiences to the brand through family and group play experiences.

Stephy Fung speaks at OFFF Festival in Adobe partnership talk on creative confidence

Digital fashion artist Stephy Fung spoke at OFFF Festival, a global event focused on design and digital art held in partnership with Adobe. On X, Fung said that she was grateful for the audience that attended her session.

Fung is a self-taught digital fashion designer who has worked on commercial projects for brands including Snapchat, Gucci and Dell, and has been listed on Forbes 30 Under 30. Her work involves designing and rendering clothing in 3D for virtual use, whether in marketing campaigns or digital social environments, rather than physical production.

She also runs educational resources and courses for emerging designers, including toolkits and training programs to help with digital fashion workflows.

Fung said the experience reinforced that audiences respond more to an artist’s unique perspective, rather than technical perfection. She encouraged other artists to share their work, even if they don’t feel fully ready.
