As a means of transferring feelings of deletion and erasure, Special Krystal began transforming random internet glitch moments (TRAPS) as he calls them, into 3D digital works. Highlighting his connection to the unique subject matter of each (MOTHER) image, the artist intuits algorithmic and organic methods to weave his digital pieces into synaesthetic experiences.
With 'A Snooparithm' the artist remixes the senses, coding audio from legendary Snoop Dogg’s 'Algorithm' into Kozomo Krystals, 3D NFTS that move, shape, and form according to sound frequency.
After a technical disaster lost him a job and corrupted his computer in 2014, Special Krystal paused his 3D practice in favour of capturing and collecting rare and random encrypted images emitted from his computer thereafter. Using open-source 3D software, the artist then began transforming these moments into "Krystal's", unique 3D digital artworks on the blockchain, derived from snapshots. Each Krystal features a 3D generative work made from real-time internet glitch captures, encoded music, and open-source 3D technology.
