The Space In Between (TSIB) is a never-ending line that has been the skeleton in my paintings since 1992. This is a new video interpretation of a 2017 painting The Space In Between World and Earth based on the Dennis Lee essay: Savage Fields. In this painting the line separates two halves of a rainbow and inverts them so the yellow and purple are next to each other as are the reds and greens. So the fire, heat, and the machine are on one side and water and plants, nature is on the opposing side. World threatens Earth and Earth is a constant threat to World. The two create a transcendental chaos.
TSIB is always about resonance, la naïve version of the Mandelbrot, and always about chaos, the sensitive dependent on the initial conditions. Like nature and the world they are also very trippy.
