Internationally renowned artist NYCHOS has been taking apart Mattel‘s Barbie doll in different versions over the years. His latest interpretation is an animation – showing Barbie on a pretty unveiling catwalk. Her plastic skin is melt down, revealing parts of the anatomy beneath. The contrast between the remains of her rigid, supposedly perfect surface and her bouncing intestines is alienating. Barbie is a witness of a period of societal missteps.
