Hibiscus' is a tribute to the glorious performance artist Hibiscus (1949-1982) a founding member of acid drag performance group 'The Cockettes'. Hibiscus was a genuine original, a sparkling gift from the gay gods. His body may have been lost to the HIV/AIDS epidemic of the 1980's. but his spirit lives on in the many queer acolytes that shine in his wake. This work honours his legacy. The costume, performance, makeup, styling and video art was created by The Huxleys.
