The date is six months prior to the academic known drawing of August 10, 1955. Don Quixote is a guide, a trickster and a navigator capable of connecting the past to the present. He is a leader of the downtrodden, oppressed or exploited. In his original state of conception in the February 11 original he is polytheistic and his symbols relate to the All, his make up is cosmological and are of the many gods and godesses of that nights sky that in the past are combined and linked mythologically. His Deconstruction in August deals for the most part with how Picasso conceived the world within his Communist party creating the August work for their magazine Les Letteress. The rhetoric was that the bourgeois state must be destroyed, the state form must be preserved, but controlled by the proletariat.
