The Plastic Wave. - Wave 2

More than eight million tons of plastic are thrown into the sea every year. Between the beautiful island of Hawaii and the exotic coasts of California, another island of different colours has appeared, made up of sprite bottles, bags of chips and ice cream pots. The island is as big as Europe and the plastics contained in it now permeate every level of our ecosystems, even the food we eat.
