I trusted you, A vessel to hold my secrets. I believed you would close the lid and stash it away.
I trusted you, To be the bearer of my pride For i thought you understood me.
I trusted you, With my dark thoughts, For i needed someone to vent too
I trusted you, For i assumed you’d be the shoulder that I cry on, Yet you were the shoulder that carried me along, Only to throw me off a cliff.

Vulnerability 1.0 is a collection that takes after my own suffering and pain as I went through my mental health journey. It is representative of finding solace in words that found its expression in my poetry. As the name suggests, vulnerability is a state of being extremely open to criticism and judgment from anyone and anything. I personally believe that being vulnerable requires a tremendous amount of courage and I see this as the first step to encouraging more people to do the same.
