The old-fashioned "analog" way to 'make a copy' of a physical object is by creating a mold and then filling the mold with material to cast a new replica. I use plaster to create the negative mold, and porcelain "slip" to create the replica. The digital way to create a replica is to create a 3D scan of these porcelain sculptures. Combined, they create a Replica Redux. Signing this 3D scan as an NFT preserves these analog-to-digital fossils into perpetuity…. Arguably not what Nature intended. For every NFT of this collection, a carbon offset is purchased, in addition to minting on Ethereum Polygon (a green nft).
