The Colours of Genesis utilises artificial intelligence to identify the various colours within the works, placing them into a rarity structure based on how much or how little there is of a particular colour in the image. The inspiration for this project arose from my fascination with religious texts, namely the christian Bible, and the significance of the earliest known translations as to what the words definition actually is, not the glossy, modernised, and somewhat crude interpretation most would probably recognise, but rather the root value and meaning behind these words. These words may have had very different interpretations to people when it was written, this text is old, thousands of years, and learning the historical truth behind these words provides a greater insight into the meaning and significance of human language and I find that fascinating.
