This image is the result of my first painting session beyond the bare plywood panel. It was created throughout the first week of December 2021. Materials used include acrylic paint, latex paint, crayon, paper collage and acrylic markers. 48" x 48" mixed-media on raw underlayment plywood panel.
A continual series of physical paintings documented as Non-fungible tokens by artist Robert Matheson. One panel, painted over and over again. Each NFT a snapshot in time documenting the relationship between the artist and the artwork. Preserving the artist's creative energy made on the blockchain. A perpetual painting morphing between the physical and virtual. Both permanent and impermanent. Nothing is sacred. The painting is never complete. Each iteration is limited to 50 editions and will last forever.
