Electrum is one of the fabric used for the first coin in ancien Lydia. It is an alloy of Gold and Silver find naturally in ground.
Electrum does mean "Shiny" from Greg Ethymologia.
This coin is a Stater, Coin used in Ancient Greek. Stater means "Weight". The value of the coin had base on its composition, here the very valuable Electrum, and its weight.
This one I have in my hands comes from Zeugitana, part of the roman empire in east Africa
