A collection of medals of one of the most successful and famous sportswomen in Belarus, the head of the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation Aliaksandra Herasimenia, is being auctioned at the NFT. Aliaksandra Herasimenia is a three-time Olympic medallist, multiple time world and European champion in swimming. Following the events of August 2020 in Belarus, associated with the mass repression and war of the dictatorial Lukashenko regime against the Belarusian people, Aliaksandra Herasimenia became actively involved in the struggle for human rights and democratic freedoms. The Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation (BSSF), which she runs, has become one of the symbols of active civic stance of the athletes in the fight against the dictatorship. BSSF has supported over 150 repressed athletes, succeeded in having all international sporting events in Belarus cancelled due to human rights violations, and stopped a wave of repression against Belarusian sportsmen and women by the IOC and other international federations. Today the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation is one of the leading organizations for the protection of athletes' rights in Europe. It has successfully held more than 20 charity auctions with lots from Belarusian athletes (medals, cups and merchandise), the proceeds of which were allocated to support political prisoners and the repressed.

Today the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation and Aliaksandra Herasimenia are conducting a persistent process to defend the rights of 9 representatives of the Belarusian football, who were repressed for having expressed their civic position on orders of Minister of Sport of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk and head of the Belarusian Football Federation Vladimir Bazanov (both are in the European Union sanctions list). One of the victims is also a well-known Belarusian sports blogger and Krumkachy football club player Aliaksandr Ivulin, who has been illegally imprisoned for more than six months. The European Football Union (UEFA) deliberately turns a blind eye to the repression, not wanting to start an investigation and covering up blatant human rights violations by the Belarusian Football Federation. Thanks to the active position of the Foundation, international sports law experts, numerous media and concerned people, Aliaksandra Herasimenia and the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation managed to get the issue heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS). The Foundation's position in this matter is of exceptional principled nature. The fight for the truth has its price. For example, the cost of the consideration of the nine applicants’ cases by the CAS is over 27,000 US dollars with a payment deadline of January 7, 2022. The common legal costs and fees for the consideration of the UEFA case exceed 80,000 US dollars.

Aliaksandra Herasimenia's unique collection of NFT medals is a reminder that diamonds are not forever. It is a touch of the athlete's most difficult fate, many years of titanic work, over 20,000 hours of training, hundreds of competitions, tears of despair and incomparable emotions of Olympic victories. This is part of the priceless and unique story that Aliaksandra Herasimenia shares for the sake of keeping faith not in diamonds but in the eternal human values of truth, freedom and justice.
