妹は、とても真面目。朝は誰より早起きして、身支度を済ませ、働きに出ていきます。
そんな真面目な妹だからこそ、彼女の兄であり、私の弟であるあっちゃんとの関わり方には、すごく悩んでいたし、今も悩んでいるのかと思います。
時折、妹と話になります。あっちゃんには絵を描いて欲しいよね。でも、今のままじゃいつか難しくなっちゃうよね。。。
一旦考えないことにするのは楽で、僕自身はすぐにそちらに流れそうになるけれども、真面目な妹のお陰で、なんとか踏みとどまれています。
そんな頼りになる妹の、朝の身支度のワンシーンです。
My brother and I have a younger sister. She has been the model for most of the paintings that my brother has received awards for.
While my parents and I had a hard time accepting that my brother had a disability, my sister was the first one to accept him as a talented individual.
She actively modeled for my brother's pictures, seeing how happy he would be. Even at school, she talked about her brother's paintings with more joy than anyone else.
I respect my sister as much as I respect my brother.
