Here's a two-thousand y/o apparatus known as "eyeglasses".

It was worn in front of defective, 100% organic eyes to achieve 20/20 vision - the accepted standard for normal vision back in those days.

Then came WWIII - The "Man vs. Machine War" between 2110 and 2112; with neither of them claiming victory.

Within two short years, Man and Machine had destroyed each others' ability to fight and to grudgingly accept reality: Continued war guarantees the mutual extermination and extinction of both species.

When the dust settled, it was the small band of hidden, silent and highly organized Post-Humans left standing.

And that's why nowadays, the average post-human possesses a visual acuity of at least 20/05.

Think of this.

We post-humans live in a world free from genetic limitations and ODOT (Organic Deterioration Over Time; the politically correct substitute for "aging" - a vulgar, taboo term used only by the unwashed and ignorant.).

Disability or Disfigurement caused by disease or trauma that was previously labeled as "Permanent" can now be corrected.

All post-humans now have unprecedented control over their individual capacities; hence, the overall quality of their lives.

Ah yes, we live in exciting times, no?

We don't have to just "suck it up and take it" if a group of deviant chromosomes decides to ambush your immune system or if some drunk or doped-up idiot disables his vehicle's auto pilot and blind sides you at an intersection.

Everything we do, achieve and enjoy as post-humans is only limited by our imagination...

...and of course, the amount of tokens in our bank accounts.
