This was inspired by the story of a girl who was given LSD by someone at Burning Man, and that person then proceeded to make inappropriate advances on her. It's no secret that sexual misconduct is an important conversation in modern society; in this work, I wanted to present an impression of her experience, of a person that appears to be safe transforming into something sinister.
This artwork is featured in Lil Diamond Smith's Book "Futurist: Silicon Valley Edition." available on Amazon and Apple.
Inspired by the 2022 poem of the same name by Lil Diamond Smith. The artwork portrays deftly drawn characters and caricatures, surprising comical delights amid the backdrop of the hustle of New York life. Using a range of approaches from expressionism to psychotropic nightmare fantasy, this collection evokes the essential humanity, well hidden as it is, of their generally ambitious, disillusioned, desperate characters who are trying to survive in a city that becomes increasingly more demanding. The collection specialises particularly in revealing the illusions about advanced digital life―a museum attacked by drones, a financier stressed to the point of fury and the statue of liberty circled by drones.
