This drink is a refreshing clash between a Fizz and a Margarita. 8 BIT is the original processor of the Sega Megadrive when Sonic Launched. The drink is made by 8 ingredients or "bits". Tequila and Mezcal are characteristics from the Agave leaves which are shaped like spades, reminiscent of the back of a Hedgehog. Citric acid replaces Lime Juice, Spirulina(algae) in powder makes it blue, and miracle foam adds texture. Texture is key, as that 8 bit feeling on the old Cathod Ray TV, or the grey dotted screen was a pattern that you could only see, but it felt part of the room as you could almost touch it.
The idea behind this work is to highlight how shape and colour influence the perception of flavours. The frame on which the ingredients are used is a link between Classic cocktails and Classic Retro Gaming. 3 retro main characters still living up to date because of their success over the past generations, are paired to 3 cocktails which have classic shapes but modern ingredients. Each NFT comes with Ingredients specs and instructions on how to make them.
