Iconic MacDonald painting and only a short walk from where The Solemn Land was painted. Originally thought this scene would have been unrecognizable because of the dam construction and no water flow. The dam footings are right behind me. Totally silent in comparison with what must have been a deafening roar in MacDonald’s time. Also a very precarious if not risky place to do a painting.

Unlockable includes original painting and the real world photograph.
