013.Shimanami Kaido/Hiroshima&Ehime

The Shimanami Kaido is a sea route that connects Onomichi City in Hiroshima Prefecture with Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture. It is connected to the six islands in between by seven bridges, connecting Honshu and Shikoku. The freeway is about 60 km long and the cycling road is about 70 km long. The cycling road is known as "a bicycle path that crosses the straits," and you can enjoy cycling while admiring the scenery of the islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea. People who visit the area often say, "The clarity of the sea is amazing. Don't miss the beautiful scenery of the bridge, which is man-made but seems to be one with nature.
