Maharaat is the last night, the bride and groom as a bachelor with their respective families. It is the most fun night, right before the big day. Maharaat means the big night, and people don't sleep. Instead, they enjoy all night with some beautiful traditional dance performances by the bride and her family and friends, followed by an after-party. The bride-to-be is welcomed at the maharaat ceremony, wearing a beautiful pure silver colourful Poshak.
