The wedding dress which the bride is wearing is known as Danka Poshak. Danka is a roughly 400 years old artwork by artisans of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Danka is a small square plate made out of pure gold. The wedding dress weighs about 8.5kg. The groom is dressed in his bespoke achkan threaded in gold to his taste. The decorative Mor worn across the heads of the couple is tied to each other. Mor means peacock. Mor is a symbol of love, connected across their heads to bless the couple with love. It is believed that Peacock was responsible for Lord Krishna and Radhika’s meetup. Hence it is considered a symbol of love. After taking their vows, the smitten couple is considered married, followed by which toe rings the bride is made to be worn, which in Hindu tradition is worn by only married women. Later the groom applies sindoor on the hair parting of his bride. It is considered auspicious and is believed to activate chakras in the forehead and crown.
