In my ongoing series, I create cloud spheres based on aerial photographs taken on passenger flights. These animated photo collages shaped like coins or tokens initiate the discussion of ownership and value of Blockchain-backed digital artworks.
On the occasion of Playform's Valentine's exhibition entitled "Sending You My Love," I created a unique cloud sphere based on images trained with artificial intelligence on flower bouquets. The artwork plays with the pareidolia phenomenon, a tendency toward the incorrect perception of a stimulus as an object, pattern or meaning known to the observer, such as seeing shapes in clouds.
I stitched the generated cloud-like flower bouquets into clouds rings of different diameters. These cloud rings create both the familiar shapes of my cloud sphere series and the impression of an abstracted flower with petals.
