In a parallel universe, an aspiring starlet starts her career as a roller-skate diner waitress. But it’s not until she graduates to working in Burlesque that she becomes uber-ambitious. Her goal becomes to steal your rich husband, marry up, knock him off and then take the cash from the life insurance policies she took out on him. She looks like marshmallow wouldn’t melt in her mouth, yet her favourite tipple is rat poison (but only for others). Part ghoulish and part glamorous, this gothic-tinged piece is inspired by the black widow case of Evelyn Dick (The Torso Killer) and the feature Architectural Digest did on Dita Von Teese’s amazing house covered in their ‘Open Door’ series (as seen on YouTube).
