Fabric of creation is an endless fractal. Each image, each instance opens up to a multiplicity of possible new trajectories of exploration and combination. Pixels are portals to new creations and adventures of consciousness. This work is a digital collage made from previous digital collages that in turn were created using pieces of my own drawings, paintings and photos as well as direct digital generation and manipulation. When I create this type of work, I have a sense of kneading the visual fabric until surprising and unexpected new elements arise that I then extract and work with further. Depending how the elements are combined and (re)contextualized, they give rise to different expressions. Sometimes a whole painting can become a tiny detail in a work, and sometimes and detail can be expanded to contain multiple works as new details. I work from the idea that all those works in different formats are interconnected in a much larger story beyond limits of formats, media or spatial constraints. My sense when creating is that of moving through different portals into new dimensions and I seek to open up that feeling for the viewer as well. I do not like to "lock" the work into a single narrative or way of interpretation, but allow openings for different ways of viewing and possibilities of multiple narratives in a single frame. I hope for my works to be openings into journeys of imagination for those who interact with them.
