The Norse Cosmogonic Myth talks of how the world was created through the transmutation of Fire & Ice. Of how Fire was male and Ice female and everything came to life in The Great Void between both lands: Ginnungagap.

The duality intrinsic to the nature of reality is represented in many other ancient traditions by these same archetypes. In Taoism they take the form of the Yin and Yang visually illustrated in the Taijitu which is widely known in the west as the concept of opposites existing in harmony. However, this concept goes much deeper to symbolise the reality of the whole of existence, both the dance of all opposites as well as the Ultimateless non-duality of the Primordial Universe that is beyond form.

ETHernal cycles of Creation and Destruction, the inescapable duality intrinsic to the mechanics of Being. This is the Tao. This is "The Way".
