The Disanthus Yunnanensis is a common, medium-sized plant and can be found in most dry regions. It blooms in late summer. It has narrow, wedge shaped leaves, which are usually light red. It also grows quite small flowers, which can be dark brown, dark gold, dark bronze and dark purple. These plants grow in large groups, but it's really tricky to control and maintain their growth. They can be dried and used in cooking. As a defense mechanism the Disanthus Yunnanensis produces a thick, sticky wax. They rely on winds to carry their seeds away to reproduce. Once pollinated, they grow small, delicious nuts.
