The Gardenia Tobira is an extremely scarce, giant plant and can be found in dark and wet places. It blooms in early spring. It has large, diamond shaped leaves, which are usually dark green. It also grows tiny flowers, which can be light purple, gold, light pink and dark orange. These plants grow in tiny groups, but it's a bit tricky to control and maintain their growth. They can be dried and used in cooking. As a defense mechanism the Gardenia Tobira grows stinging hairs, like a nettle. They rely on animal pollination to reproduce. Once pollinated, they grow small, inedible nuts.
