Each weekend at 5am, a bunch of madmen wake up to chase their passion and head to the wilderness of Maleha desert in Sharjah. Be it us - the photographers, or the dirt bikers as seen in Pic, or the dune bashers in their 4 wheel drives, or the Harley Davidson dudes cracking the tarmac, or the Quad bikers testing their limits, or the Superbikers exploiting the speed on the radar-less roads, or the cyclists testing their endurance, or runners testing their soles, or the climbers testing their lungs, or the bird watchers testing their patience, or just the sunrise lovers romancing the first light, and more - Deserts attract us all - like a moth to a flame. ⁣

Passion is contagious and comes with a truckload of positive vibes. Maleha seems to be one of those places in the Emirate of Sharjah, where passion is interchanged between various kinds - each spreading to the next. The enthusiasm and excitement, the honesty, and the innocence of passion are inspiring and it's good to see it being materialized into action by so many even during these testing - tough - uncertain times of covid. I guess it's our only way to keep our heart, mind, body, and soul sane.⁣
