I'm very excited to be premiering my newest song Wonderland here on Sound. I think the premise of the lyrics and the sonics lend themselves very well to this new wonderland that is Web3. Being an independent artist coming up in this new age of technology, there are so many middlemen that stand between you and your potential fanbase and I'm so happy that I'm getting the opportunity to connect directly with supporters of art and lovers of music alike

I was born in Inglewood California and spent half of my childhood in Cali, and then my parents moved my brothers and me out to Louisiana where I finished high school. music for me has always been an escape from the world around me, and an outlet for a lot of internal conflicts I hadn’t yet learned to articulate as a kid. The day I picked up a guitar I felt something change inside me, it was a change that gave me hope in knowing there was something out there that could quell even the most vicious storms that were going on in my heart and in my life around me.

Wonderland feels like a peaceful escape from reality, but the lyrics are a cry out to the world about mans (hu-man) relationship with themselves, and with the environment around them. I talk about how some people view a tree as a source of shelter or kindling to be burned for warmth, while others may view a tree as a living being and as a source of the very air we breathe. Now we all need shelter, but having an understanding and respect for nature is paramount because the earth can only give us exactly what we need. Any more than that throws the world out of balance, a lot of us live lives of excess without thinking about how every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Whether you look at things from a yin-yang perspective, or you view things like Newton, it's the same concept.

I hope that this song brings people peace, even if for a few minutes and shows us that stillness and reflection are important for growth - we must be focused more on the natural progressions of life rather than the constant production of goods and services. Community is the only way forward in my mind and heart, and I am grateful to be a part of this community full of pioneers blazing a new path into the future!
