About the image: Chicago’s elevated train system – the “L” as it’s lovingly known – is a system of trains that converge on the Chicago Loop, the famous downtown area. It’s as much the fabric of the city as are the Wrigley Field or the Millenium Park. At any given moment, the racket of trains darting by the elevated lines reverberates through the streets. Browsing around Chicago on the first day of the year, I found the city completely deserted – except for the “L” and a lone commuter, who, like me, was making her way through this city of wind and metal.

As a travel journalist, I now travel the world on assignments telling stories. But my journey started on the streets of New York, in the sand dunes of Morocco, on the ferries of Istanbul.
These are their stories, brought to life through six capsules that capture the spirit of each place in six images. Travel with me to Chicago, Istanbul, New York, Morocco, Egypt, and Oman as you get to know these places and watch my photographer’s journey unfold.
This collection of six capsules of six 6/6 images was shot across six destinations in the span of six years. 6 images at a time will be released, with the next capsule of 6 released upon sell-out. Final collection will feature 36 images.
