The first flutterings of thought:
sacred stirrings fated to bloom and spiral,
to quiver and coalesce
to an amniotic cocoon, incubating:
an idea.

The idea is uttered and echoed and fed
until finally,
it opens its eyes,
ready to be born, to take on a life of its own.
And once it does,
there’s no going back.
