Autumn is an exciting time for landscape photographers all around the world. The conditions are typically in our favour with beautiful sunrises full of low hanging clouds and mist which adds that ethereal touch to landscapes. Sunrises are later and sunsets earlier, making it a popular time of the year to get out with the camera. I photographed this scene in 2017 at a small quarry in the Canadian Rockies when not a soul was out. I was drawn to the juxtaposition of the colour trees and mood brought on by blue hour. I now live in this area and am still blown away everyday by the majestic beauty of this Canadian province that houses some of the biggest mountains in the world.
This NFT is part of Reflections by Concurrence Collective – a fine art landscape photography collection dedicated to reflections found in nature. With this collection, we have returned with our shared passion for capturing the natural beauty of the world. Reflections follows on from our debut project Frozen Planet, the first-ever photography collective on Sloika.
Reflections is our second collection and follows on from our debut, Frozen Planet – the first-ever photography collective project released on Sloika.
When Frozen Planet sold out within a few hours, we thought about what we could do differently. We all agreed we wanted to go bigger! We reached out to the landscape photography community with an open call to submit work then followed up with a lengthy curation process. We are excited to be able to bring more artists into the collective – growing from 24 to 30.
