See you soon: (Idiom)
[A1] Used when you are going to meet with someone and you're not far from their location.

[A2] A promise that is made when parting from a loved one.

1. "I'm about to land, I'll see you soon!"

2. "Don't cry, I'll see you soon."

"I'll see you soon," is the first message I look for when I meet up with my friends at NFT events. It means we're finally close enough to see each other. We're close enough to hug, close enough to hold. It's a promise, it means I'm on the way to see you, to be with you and to love you. I get excited when I see those messages all week long, until the last few days, that's when that phrase begins to sting. Something that was once so sweet is now bitter, the phrase rots as the days go by. I'll see you soon is one of the most painful phrases I can utter when departing from my friends. A promise that I can hopefully keep, a goodbye without saying goodbye. For some, the phrase holds no weight and comes with no expectations. However, for me and my friends, "I'll see you soon," is the only thing we can hold onto until the next time we get to hold on to each other.
