Dragon is a legendary creature in Chinese mythology. In this year of the Dragon, on the third night of lunar new year, friends were at our house having party and poker games. My beloved daughter Summer (who dreams to be an artist when she grows up), spent about half an hour drawing a picture of what she calls a Rainbow Dragon. Mostly just for fun but also hoping to sell to make some extra pocket money, just like last year. A friend Wayne started his bid at $2. He called out once, twice, and no one seems to be wanting to increase the bid. Thrice, and the Rainbow Dragon was sold for just a small $2. I felt sad and a little pain in my heart. This shouldn’t worth just $2. As our poker game continues, I kept thinking about it and couldn’t concentrate on the game. Towards the end of the poker session, I offered $10 to buy it back. I was lucky. Wayne accepted my offer and he’s happy to make a 400% gain. For me, I got back something priceless.
