Happy New Year Capsule Holders!

It’s been an incredible year. We’re so proud of our team and everything we’ve accomplished so far, and it’s certainly been a one-of-kind experience for all of us here to have worked on this project together.

There are a lot of questions about the future of Capsule House and we’re here to announce some updates about the project going forward.

In March of this year, we decided to establish Capsule House as a formal entity. The end goal was always to expand the world of Capsule House to something much bigger - we dreamed about feature length anime, merchandise, mangas, and all the other storytelling content that we couldn’t achieve alone. At the same time, we needed to establish a recurring revenue model to support these explorations.

As royalties slowed, we continued to try and deploy as many products as we could to maintain our momentum and gain new traction. It’s slowly turned into quite an uphill battle against many factors, most notably the macro economic environment. At this point, we don’t think that we can reasonably scale this project anymore if we just follow the traditional NFT project playbook.

So, with all this in mind, we want to optimize for a few things -

Get ourselves back into a world where we can produce art sustainably.
Ensure the community is not blocked from building and contributing.
Wrap up some secret free goodies for the holders.

As of January 1st, 2023, Yokai House Inc. has been reformed into an LLC. We are redistributing our equity into this LLC and this entity will be community run and owned, with your equity scaled to the proportion of the number of Capsules you own. The community treasury will be intact and available for use as usual.

We will be rolling out the following projects through Q1 of this year, including a special 3D pixel world, Capsule Codex website, the remaining Bouquets for each species on Secret Garden, and an anime trailer.

To be clear, all founders remain onboard - this is a refresh on our mindset and pacing, so that we can continue to contribute to this wonderful community and ecosystem for the long term. We appreciate each and every one of you in this journey so far and are so grateful for the support - thank you.
