"Theres no escaping the light......."

You look over at a survivor nearby, and ask them if they’re okay. They stare back at you, and then slowly begin to laugh hysterically. You ask them what’s so funny, but they just continue laughing as if there is nothing wrong with the situation at all. At that moment another beam shoots down and the person disappears...

Lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating the clouds above and around the city below. A flash of light suddenly shot from the sky, causing people to scream and cover their eyes with their hands. Confusion and chaos ensued as floating objects appeared out of nowhere and people began floating up into the air like leaves on a river current. Some of them began falling back down to Earth again as others still floated on upwards into eternity.

Only a select few people seemed to be immune to "The Flash's" effects. Some people who had been hit by it seemed to have some kind of immunity while others screamed in pain or terror as they watched those around them disappear or begin to float towards the sky.

You look around in horror as people are being vaporized right in front of your eyes. Huge plumes of smoke explode into the air as the flashes continue to emit in every direction. Nothing but light for some until the fog overtakes them.

At one point the light touches you and teleports you to the top of a hill with others overlooking the city being overtaken by the flash and smoke. How could something so chaotic be so beautiful? How could there be beauty in the chaos? You look around to see if you recognize anyone but to your dismay they are all strangers to you.

What do we do next? Where do we go? What is all of this? The same questions constantly being muttered through the small group that just watched their homes destroyed by a force you would only read about in a Manga. Which question will you follow first?
