Generalizations, labels and societal expectations attempt to constrain our behaviors, actions and even thoughts, but we do not all fit into the same mold. Some people try to force that fit, however, asserting their will over the rights and preferences of others, sometimes with threats of violence if they do not comply. The most basic freedom we all should have is to live our lives without hiding our truest selves as long as we are not harming others. This is also the most difficult freedom to preserve.

This piece is a 1/1 edition created by Maneki Neko as an addition to the pieces made for the "AI Is Freedom" exhibition at the Mecenate Fine Art Museum in Rome, Italy from September 23rd - 29th, 2022.

It began as a text-to-image collaboration with an AI called Stable Diffusion to synthesize images for a particular vision. After many variations were created, the best were curated and collaged in Photoshop. The piece was finished with editing of colors and intricate details to execute the full expression of the the original vision.
