Science tells us plants can communicate with each other through releasing chemicals in the air or by a symbiotic relationship with a network of fungi underground colloquially named the "wood-wide-web".

One must wonder if plants have their own songs or poetry, and if they can tell each other about their dreams. If we could ask the flowers what they dream of, they might weave us a story of a friendly wanderer in their liminal space.

This piece is a 1/1 edition collaboration between illustrata and Maneki Neko.

illustrata uses several Ai tools in combination with traditional software to create her artwork. For this piece, she used a latent diffusion text-to-image program to create a portrait from uniquely engineered text prompts. She then used a series of additional prompts and finely tuned settings in Disco Diffusion to enhance dimension and add detail. In Photoshop, illustrata blended the best bits from over one hundred renders to create the base for Maneki's collage work.

Maneki then created textures to embed the portrait in as a text-to-image collaboration with the ruDALLE AI to generate many graphic variations on a concept. It was finished by collaging those variations together with illustrata's portrait to create a piece with a coherent color scheme, expression of a theme, and packed full of intricate detail.
