This piece is a 1/1 edition collaboration between KaptN and Maneki Neko.

It began as a digital portrait by KaptN who creates his work by combining his drawings or collages with machine learning image generation tools VQGAN and Disco Diffusion. This particular piece was created by processing a hand-drawn portrait, processed with the AI models and touched up using Photoshop.

Maneki then created textures to embed the portrait in as a text-to-image collaboration with an AI to generate many graphic variations on a concept. It was finished by collaging those variations together with KaptN's portrait to create a piece with a coherent color scheme, expression of a theme, and packed full of intricate detail.
