Diss track for all the whack artists and influencers doing "collabs" with artists, but in reality, just using them for free work to make sales off and increase their own exposure.
The same tactics that influencers have used to kill the engagement and user experience on social media platforms have crawled their way into Rarible. "Tag us for a feature" is "I'll use your content in exchange for exposure", which rarely materializes into anything for the creators.
Both Anonart and I, have been on the losing end of these collabs so we decided to set the bar for the way these collabs should work moving forward. All artists in these collabs should contribute to the piece of art, otherwise, the work should be commissioned for pay.
Also included in the crosshairs are all the artists ripping off other creators claiming to create a new piece of art, but barely doing any work to make it an original piece.
If you really want to help artists, putting some ETH in their wallets should be the 1st step and it should end with the creators gaining the most from the exchange.
