Writer's Blockchain: First Authencity Blogpost Though I like writing, whenever I started a blog, I couldn't keep to a strict schedule, and my content was always published wildly irregularly. It's because of my bad habit of starting many new projects and working on several drafts simultaneously, and it takes me a long time to finish anything.
Just a little warning so you don't expect me to churn out a fantastic blog post every day. You would be disappointed. On the other hand, I hope to get a bit more productive in the future.
I'm a web3-interested writer looking for new projects, publishing platforms, and social networks. Anything that could be useful to a storyteller. I don't mean Authencity exclusively, though I will closely watch this budding social network.
In May, I had a webinar where I presented a few platforms and projects to people that knew about web3 but weren't writers. Looking at the writing and publishing scene (web3 and web2 related), I will have enough content at the end of the year to present an updated version of my webinar. 😀
Readl, Cent, Mirror, Storyverse, and Writeseen are all names to keep an eye on. And – but we will have to wait for that to happen actually - maybe Wattpad, another established brand, will join web3, which would cause dozens of web2 writers to discover web3. Mayhaps this is the new frontier. After the artists, the writers are the new netizens to colonize the web3 space. The signs are there; writing NFTs was a topic at NFT NYC 2023, and there were several solar punk-themed talks at ETHPrague.
I believe that in a year or two, writing and publishing on the blockchain will be featured on the stages of official literary events. It would make sense for writers to learn about blockchain technology since writing professions are one of the fields impacted by artificial intelligence. Being able to prove the text was written by a human, focusing on quality rather than quantity, NFTs tied to a novel or graphic novel franchise. Possibilities may not be endless, but no doubt, the number is very high.
Not to mention the impact AR and metaverse will have on storytelling. Movies, theater, documentaries, reality tv, interactive stories... I feel amazed by the Future of Storytelling already.
